Would you like to join a fantastic, dedicated team of Teaching Assistants at Woodlands Primary School in Tonbridge?  We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join us. Previous experience of being a TA or working in a pre-school not necessarily required, but an advantage.

At Woodlands, all TAs are valued and highly skilled.  The role requires flexibility - sometimes focusing on support for one child, other times small groups or more general. It will entail supporting learners both in and out of class. 

Experience in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition and the associated behaviours is desirable.  

Posts available: 

32.5 hours a week - 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday

The salary is KR3 £19,293 FTE and you will receive a pro rata of this figure. Grade C in both Maths and English is a minimum requirement.  The successful applicant will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS check.

Woodlands Primary School was formed in September 2016 following the amalgamation of Woodlands Infant and Woodlands Junior Schools. We are a successful and happy school in North Tonbridge. Currently we have 640 pupils on roll organised into three classes per year group across three buildings: Saplings (EYFS), Acorn (KS1) and Oak (KS2). An excellent local reputation for both the Infant and Junior schools has been built up over many years. Our enthusiastic and dedicated staff work strongly together to provide exciting learning experiences for the children both inside and outside the classroom.

Woodlands Primary School, north Tonbridge is looking to appoint a hard working and reliable person who would like to be part of a busy and supportive premises team. The successful candidate will assist in the maintenance and security of the school premises, ensuring a safe working environment, as directed. Experience within a similar position is desirable but not essential.

  • 35 hours per week, five days, Monday to Friday
  • Hours - Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm

The Caretaker plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the premises and will be able to work cooperatively with all members of the school community to ensure high standards are maintained at all times.
