Woodlands is a stunning site with a vast outdoor area. Children enjoy a large playing field and playgrounds, wildlife area with a pond, a gardening patch, an outdoor stage and a Forest School. We encourage children to keep fit by utilising the field and playgrounds at break times, using the climbing apparatus and the table tennis. We even use the perimeter of the field and playgrounds as our daily mile running route.

Our three buildings (Acorn, Oak and Saplings) are very well cared for and we take pride in the way our school looks. Visitors comment on the stunning artwork on display as they walk around. Our classrooms are warm and inviting for children, and celebrate learning across a range of subjects. We also have additional learning spaces outside of the classrooms that are used effectively for group work.

We are very lucky to benefit from a computing suite at Woodlands; all 32 computers were replaced by our PTA in 2019. We also have a stunning new library that the children can enjoy – again, bought for us by our amazing PTA. Children can also enjoy our two large school halls: PE with the climbing apparatus, performing plays on the stage or playing musical instruments. We also benefit from a spare classroom where we can undertake exciting music or art activities.

We have brilliant resources at Woodlands: cupboards full of science equipment, technology and maths manipulatives; drawers full of art supplies, textiles and tools. We enjoy a wide range of subjects at Woodlands and this is evident on our stunning displays around the school.
