A food bank is a charity that provides food to people who have difficulty buying enough. All food banks operate in slightly different ways. For instance some will provide a home delivery service for people living in rural areas and those who are unable to get to a food bank. Contact your local food bank to find out how to use it.

On Thursday the President of Tonbridge Lions Club, Tom Simmons, presented the school with two copies of the beautiful book, The Lost Words. The book is a response to the decline of nature words in children’s language. Its aim is to stimulate children’s passion for the natural world. The book combines evocative spell-poems and exquisite illustrations. We are very grateful to the Tonbridge Lions for generously presenting us with these copies, which we will ensure are enjoyed by our pupils..

Senior Choir Trip To The O2

The Senior Choir had a marvellous time at the O2 Arena at the end of January and sang their hearts out with over 7,000 other children. They also enjoyed performances from Tony Hadley and Urban Strides and will remember it for a long time to come! (As will their parents!)

African Drumming

For the last two Wednesdays of Term 1 Key Stage 2 children have enjoyed African drumming workshops in their music lessons, run by Richard from Rich Rhythms. The children learned about the djembe drums and enjoyed playing a variety of rhythms.
